Always offer your students a smile and encouragement; you never know what attention if any they get at home.

Have students free journal about how they are feeling or on a choice topic first thing in the morning. This can give you a insight on what might interfere with learning for the day. You can address it with the student or students. Sometimes sharing advice and letting students know that you are there to help them not only grow as a student, but as a person can make a positive impact.

I love you Dee and I am so proud of you for getting your book published your the best sister ever!
